My wife and I connected with Kristina on care.com, and after interviewing her, decided to engage her to be the day time nanny for our 3 month old. Kristina agreed to start by working a couple days a week for about 6 weeks before transitioning to being our full-time nanny once my wife’s maternity leave ended. After about a month of this arrangement, during which everything seemed to go well and no complaints or issues were raised by us or Kristina, Kristina just stopped showing up and has not responded to calls or texts. Now we are scrambling to find a nanny before my wife has to go back to work. Needless to say, we were shocked that she would suddenly quit (apparently) after agreeing to nanny for us long-term, much less do so by suddenly ghosting us. Just incredibly unprofessional, juvenile, and selfish. Fair warning.
