About Kristi

I am an experienced educator with a heart for children of all ages. I am a patient and compassionate person who provides children with structure and an ability to engage in learning. Teaching reading is a passion of mine and I love to see children learn and grow. I formerly taught special education for 10 years and hold a master's degree in education from the University of Washington. In my teaching career, I worked predominately with students who struggled with emotional and behavioral issues, developmental delays, and autism. I have taught students from 2nd grade through high school and am certified in grades K-12. Additionally, I am highly qualified in English, writing, and math. My greatest delight in the classroom setting was seeing students exceed expectations. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and art. I look forward to meeting you and your student soon!
