About Kristi

I'd describe my personality as patient, funny, and kind. I like tutoring because I like to see the progress students can make when they are given individualized instruction. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work with students to increase their skills in comprehension, writing, grammar, or test-taking strategies. I started tutoring when I earned my reading specialist certification. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with my family and friends , and travel. One thing you should know about me is I have taught middle school, high school and college, so I am well aware of student expectations and demands at all levels. My skills include teaching comprehension strategies for both fiction and nonfiction text, providingACT/SAT/AP Literature prep, and improving students' writing ability and confidence.
