About Kristen

My love for working with children began when I was 11 and I started volunteering at a local daycare! I've also been a babysitter and nanny to a boy with Autism, a Therapeutic Staff Support to another child with Autism, I've taught an art class at a summer camp, and I was a Garden Educator with the Edible Classroom here in Lancaster county. Currently I work at United Zion Retirement Community as a cook. I LOVE to cook delicious and healthy meals and I am more than willing to do so for your family. I'm a very active person and I love to be outdoors and encourage children to do more outdoors. I'm very artistic and would love to sit down with your child for an hour or two and work on some art projects! I'm also great at helping with homework and am good at creating plans and schedules for kids to stay on track. My approach to childcare aligns with the Montessori approach. *I have a very sweet 1-year-old son who would accompany me during the week.
