About Kristen

Empowering students to think critically and solve problems independently is the heart of my teaching practice. With 14 years of experience as a Certified teacher, I specialize in English, test preparation, and study skills for middle and high school students. I hold two graduate degrees and maintain expertise in Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and 504 student accommodation plans. I assess your unique learning style by observing how you engage with new material, then adapt my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, or targeted practice. I keep you motivated by connecting complex concepts to your personal interests and celebrating every milestone we reach together. Open communication is my priority, as it builds the trust necessary for your academic growth. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I look forward to helping you experience that rewarding "aha!" moment when everything finally clicks.
