My name is Kristen and I am 29 yrs old. I live in Long Island City, Queens during the year, and Southampton, NY (my hometown) during the summer. I am currently a graduate student for Music Therapy at Molloy College. I have 15 yrs. of experience as a nanny/babysitter, and have cared for children of all ages from 7 mos. to 14 yrs. I recently ended a part-time nanny position for 3 children (6 yr. old twins, and one 8 yr old.), due to the family's pending plans to move out-of-state. My responsibilities included managing the kids' schedules and daily activities, transporting kids to various locations, helping with HW and after school/camp obligations, feeding/bathing/nighttime routines, occasional overnights and traveling, among others. My approach in care giving is to find the most effective way to connect with the child, while helping to facilitate education and growth through my background in child psychology and development. Kristen S has been working for me regularly since December, 2015. My experience with Kristen has been wonderful. She is responsible, smart, trustworthy and has a great attitude. She shows up to work on time and in a professional manner. Both of my children adore Kristen. She is very involved in being hands on with the children all the time, constantly keeping them engaged with play, arts & crafts and singing songs. Early on, Kristen was sure to ask many questions about being consistent with how I wanted her to approach feeding, naps and behavior control. In this regard, there is terrific synergy having Kristen care for my children.
