About Kristen

I have been in childcare for 10 years (starting different short term babysitting positions in my late teens) and a professional nanny for 5 of those. I was a swim coach for four years and value teaching children water safety and the joy of movement! In college, I was a nanny for a family of four. The ages of the kids ranged from 6 weeks to 10, it was quite the experience! I have my B. A. in Spanish and I also am a certified full spectrum doula. I have experience with Waldorf, Montessori and different therapeutic modalities such as DBT and CBT that drive my approach to childcare. Although I appreciate these modalities, I also believe in the art of play and presence. I'm looking for a position for about a year and possibly two for the right fit !
