I grew up on a dairy farm of goats. Included on this farm where horses, cows, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats and a few little guinea pigs and hamsters. Since I was a very young girl, I have been one of the primary care givers for all of these animals. My responsibilities ranged from light feedings, walking, bathing/grooming, cleaning and sometimes birth delivery. I have always helped sick and stray animals. We have had lots of injuries come to our house and I've given healing hands to mend them. One of my favorite memories is a little raccoon who lost her mother. I took care of her and eventually she was released back to the wild.
