About Kristen

Hi! I'm Kristen, a college graduate, K-6 teacher candidate, and caregiver/educator with 12 years of experience. I've worked in one-on-one disability support, tutoring, youth programs, Montessori and NC 5-star preschool settings, and classrooms of up to 15 children. I love figuring out what makes each child light up and building activities, books, or learning around their interests. I'm also open to education-focused care, including homework help, tutoring, enrichment, and homeschool support. My goal is to be a safe person to make mistakes with, ask questions, and keep trying. I have substantial experience with autism, ADHD, developmental and learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and visual impairments. I'm comfortable with visual supports, first/then language, co-regulation, and sensory needs. I can help with meals, pets, laundry, tidying, and cleaning when time allows. I'm offering a $12/hr introductory rate for select first-time bookings while I establish my profile!
