About Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen, and I'm a certified elementary educator with a passion for helping children grow both academically and personally. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. With experience teaching students from Pre-K through 4th grade, I bring a strong foundation in early learning strategies and child development. I'm also an Orton-Gillingham (OG) certified phonics teacher, specializing in structured literacy and ELA support for diverse learners. In addition to my classroom experience, I've worked as a nanny and private tutor, supporting families by creating structured, nurturing, and engaging environments at home. I also have several years of experience coaching middle and high school athletes in gymnastics and cheer, which has helped me connect with older kids and teens in meaningful, motivational ways. I bring professionalism, creativity, and compassion to every interaction.
