About Krista

I have been a middle school Reading teacher for 20 years. I have 1-year-old identical twin boys and have left the classroom to care for them. I absolutely love reading and I was born to work with kids! Middle age students are my specialty, (grades 6-8) but I can easily work with all age levels. My mission has always been to help students feel more confident in their reading and to guide students to the books that are best suited for their interest level and ability. Reading should be fun! It should be an escape! Too many kids fear it, dread it, avoid it or even hate it! For those that love to read already, I guide them to the next level in terms of comprehension and analysis. My goal is to bring joy into reading and I do this with humor, patience and kindness. I look forward to working with your student(s)!
