About Korie

Hi, I'm Korie. I began babysitting as soon as I could take the Red Cross babysitter's course at age 11 (30 years ago!) Since then I've worked as a professional nanny, spent 10 years running my own martial arts, wellness, and leadership program for kids, led a small homeschool preschool pod, and developed a parent coaching program called Thrive Atlas. These days, I'm running parenting workshops and raising my two amazing girls, ages 8 and 14. My approach is attachment-focused, building the trust and safety kids need to explore and learn. I draw on Montessori and Waldorf styles, following the child's curiosity, offering hands-on and imaginative play, and creating calm, unhurried rhythms. I love weaving in basic Spanish and French vocabulary and time in nature. Before I spend time with your child, I listen to you as a family.
