About Kora

Kora did not work for me in any capacity but gave a recommendation/referral of a colleague of hers to potentially provide home care/help for my Father. After communicating with this person, going through an in-person interview process, planning, etc she backed-out last minute (less than a weeks notice) and completely cut off communication. It started when I asked after multiple requests for a list of references. The next day, supposedly in route to my Father, she texted me and said she “…broke down…” on the highway and wouldn’t be able to make it. After that abruptly stopped responding. I messaged this person and advised that she had Read receipts enabled on her phone which she then removed. This colleague was not on care.com. I reached out to Kora because I had been left with no options, she began telling me that it wasn’t a break down it was a car accident and gave further very questionable, suspicious, and sketchy excuses and explanations including maybe this colleague accepted a different position. It seems like this colleague maybe has an arrangement with Kora or they’re related, either way it was a very similar experience to other reviews left for Kora describing last minute backing out or flaking. Very unprofessional, this is a position where a patient or client relies on a caregiver for safety, medical care and maintenance, medication management, and sometimes even food, to just drop all communication?? Kora would you not contact your full-time employer if you got into a car accident and couldn’t get to work for a period of time?? It’s already so difficult to find a caregiver to work in someone’s home that’s really trustworthy without engaging in dishonest behavior and/or dealings.
