I am a mother of a child born with a vision disability. I cared for my mother who had had acute stages of Alzheimer's dementia. I learned to feed, change, and lift her as she became immobile. I learned ASL sign language in my church many years ago to help the deaf learn about the Lord. So I have personal experience with special needs care but I have no formal training.
