Kirsten cared for my friend, a physician who would (with good humor) evaluate her every move. She gained her patient's trust: His respect for her was evident. I have witnessed excellent hospice care shown to my mother and husband. Kirsten H. tops everyone. She cared for him at home, in hospital, and again at home. Her compassion was evident, she was tender in administering care that was painful. She was respectful of his dignity. She was alert to signals when he no longer spoke. She performed every duty skillfully, and was a good administrator in setting a plan and schedules. She obviously is well trained,. and was knowledgeable about her patients condition. She was a diplomat with the hospital staff. She was vigilant but silently moved away as needs dictated. She set up the room arrangement, ordered equipment and supplies to accommodate his transfer home and stayed with us through his death. She is a true nurse.
