Hi! My name is Kira, I'm 25, and currently a professional ballet dancer with Ballet Quad Cities and ballet instructor at a local dance studio. I also worked as an Educator at Niabi Zoo for 4 years. This summer (and continuing through the year with different availability) I am looking for a family that needs some extra support during the summer months! I have extensive informal teaching experience, I enjoy working with kids, and will make sure your littles have the best summer they can have! If you have a child who loves music, movement, animals, or outside play, I might be just what you're looking for :) I attended a Montessori school from age 3-10. Although I'm not Montessori certified, I do understand the importance of child-led learning. In my spare time, I like to be outside! I enjoy paddle boarding, camping, and hiking.

Kira came and helped out with my 3 week old baby for several days when I needed support the most. She made me feel comfortable enough to not only go take naps but also leave the house to run errands as I knew my baby was in good hands. Kira is warm, kind, and careful with babies. She never stopped cooing or smiling at my baby and found creative ways to enrich his days. She showed him the alphabet in sign language, read him tons of books, and even made him a playlist of classical music. If I could move Kira into my house for full time support I would. I know Kira has a ton of experience with older kids but she also did amazing with my newborn.
