When I moved to Arkansas 20 years ago I got a job at my kids school. I was a paraprofessional/ teachers aid and I worked with children with disabilities from 2006 to 2014. I enjoyed that job a lot but the pay was barely enough to survive. My next job was working with adults with disabilities. I would stay for days at a time with a client helping to make sure they were taking their medicines and cooking and eating well. Trips to Drs, grocery, and basically any place they needed to go or needed to be. I loved that job as well but I was offered another job caring for elderly and the compensation was much better so I went with it. I have been caring for elderly at end of life care for the about 8 years now. I have raised 4 sons and now I have 3 grandsons and a grand daughter I care for as often as I can. I also love plants and have a green thumb.
