About Kim

I've been an animal lover since childhood. My pets have accompanied me for 90% of my life. I grew up with Mini-Schnauzers and have the benevolent pet parent of a cat, turtle, guinea pigs, Siamese Rabbit and 15 ferrets over 25+ years. I believe in spirit animals and that their presence in our lives increases our humanity. I cannot imagine life without them. My current Mini-Schnauzer (my 4th) we adopted this year. In 2025, we bid farewell to our 19-year-old dog who was no less than a best friend and healing animal after the loss of my Mom. Companion animals are my family. I had specialized training for special needs ferrets and saved more than a few who were stricken with illness and disease. I feel a special kinship with dogs, though. A unique connection and trust. My veterinarians for both exotics and my dog know that I care and love with dedication and tenderness towards these kindred souls. I've sit for friends' dogs, turtle, birds for years and treated them like my own pet children.
