About Kim

Hi, I'm very interested in this position. I'm a former teacher and have experience working in special education classrooms, including with nonverbal students and students with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am currently supporting a family with a 10-year-old non verbal autistic child . Our time together is honestly the highlight of both our days! I'm comfortable providing hands-on support, transportation, companionship, and assistance with outings and exercise. I understand the importance of remaining calm during challenging moments, redirecting appropriately, and creating a positive structure while still allowing the person to have choices and independence. I believe my teaching background, special education experience, and personal experience would make me a strong fit for this position.
