About Kimberlyn

I'm a PhD student at Vanderbilt studying Human Genetics. My research focuses on the genetics of neonatal development, and that passion has resulted from my love and affection for children that developed when I began babysitting at 15. That appreciation only grew as I got older. In addition to babysitting, I became a cross country coach for the Special Olympics in high school. During my time there I planned and executed practices, fostered positive relationships with athletes, and supported my team head-on by cheering and running alongside them during events. In my free time I love to go swimming or hiking with friends, listen to music, and paint. Overall, I am a very fun, energetic, and caring person. I think that I would be a great asset to your family.
