About Kimberly

My whole life has revolved around childcare and education plus being a mom of two! I have a Degree in Education, an endorsement in Early Childhood Education, and a Master's Degree in Literacy Instruction. While in college I worked in infant care. Upon moving to CO, I worked with toddlers. I was living large at $6 an hour. Soon I got my first teaching job. The next 28 years flew by teaching grades 2, 4, 5, and having two babies of my own. I retired in 2023 and have been working part time . I miss being a teacher mostly because I miss the joy of being around young children. I love reading stories, doing crafts, going on walks and nature hunts with kids. I am a believer in structured time, boundaries, manners, free play, exercise, and sometimes just being. I always practiced a responsive classroom technique where my goal was to give respect which in turn earned me respect. Rest assured your child would be safe and feel comfortable with me.
