About Kierra

Hello! My name is Kierra. I began working with children in professional settings at the age of 16. Throughout high school, I worked in daycare settings, summer camps, peer mentoring, and babysitting. Through these experiences, I have learned to work with kids varying from infancy up to middle-school age. After high school, I attended Texas State University and earned my bachelor's degree in Education (early childhood-6th grade). After earning my degree, I worked as a 2nd grade teacher for 4 years. Through the accumulation of of my work experience, I've come to deepen my passion for working with children. in my childcare philosophy, I believe in nurturing the holistic development of children, supporting not just their physical needs, but also their emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Every child has an innate intelligence and curiosity, and I strive to help create a safe, engaging environment where they can explore, ask questions, and grow confidently.
