Hi! I'm Kiera! I'm 19 and have 5+ years of childcare experience. I spent 5 years at a summer day camp, starting as a counselor and later taking on an additional CIT supervisor/trainer role. I led activities and cared for kids through every kind of New England weather! I've also worked as a caregiver with children with Down syndrome, autism, severe ADHD, behavioral challenges, and selective mutism. I'm currently a live-in caregiver, so I'm comfortable cooking, cleaning, laundry, household chores, and multitasking. I also have little siblings, so toddlers are familiar territory! I completed my first year of college with Dean's Honor List recognition and took a Growth & Development course. I'm taking a course on fun, age-appropriate engagement. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, have a valid license and clean driving record, and am seeking full-time Monday-Friday work from January through May. Open to occasional weekends and overtime. Kiera is absolutely wonderful with my twins, who are three and a half. Whether she’s down on the floor building castles with them, chasing them around the house playing “you can’t catch me,” or having a full-blown dance party in the kitchen, she is always right there with them, making sure they are having fun and feeling loved. She is incredibly patient, especially through the tantrums and meltdowns that come with this age. She takes the time to understand what they need and helps them work through their big emotions with so much patience and kindness. The best part is how excited my kids are to see her—and how sad they are when it’s time for her to leave. Every time, they run to the balcony so they can wave goodbye to her. That says everything about how much they love and trust Kiera. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is dependable, caring, playful, and genuinely wonderful with my kids. We feel very lucky to have her!
