Hi! I'm Kia (yes, like the car)-a professional performer, ballet, tap and voice instructor with a passion for working with kids. I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre & a Performing Arts Industry Accreditation from NYU Tisch & the American Musical Theatre & Dramatic Academy as well as being a NATS-certified voice teacher. As the only daughter of two doctors admits three brothers , I naturally was always helping with my siblings-and now I'm the super fun auntie to two adorable nephews (2 and 7). Alongside teaching and performing, I've worked as a tutor and babysitter as side hustles through the years in both NYC and LA. I'm dependable, CPR and First Aid certified, nurturing, creative, and I love keeping children inspired. In my free time, I'm usually at the park with the love of my life, Mr. Banks (my adorable puppy), or reading with him cuddled on top of me. I look forward to meeting your family!

Kia has cared for my children for over 5 years. She is brilliant, creative, fun, responsible, and reliable. She can do everything from engage and foster literacy skills and a love for literature in very young children to tutor older children for the SAT with incredible results which is something their father and I (career educators) truly value. She is brilliant with homework help and the most organized and tidy person I know. She can make anything fun and has an incredible professional resume in the arts. She still teaches voice and dance to one of my children and has instilled a love for the arts in my children like none other. She keeps them active, safe, and growing socially, emotionally, physically and academically and so happy. My children always end their time with Kia better than they started it. She is truly a gift, a modern day Mary Poppins.
