About Khalil

I have a master's degree in philosophy and most of a doctorate in cultural studies. For the past two years, I have taught college classes and coached student writers. That's why I wanted to start tutoring: helping students succeed feels far better than grading ever could! I can offer students support with academic strategies; philosophy; US history; social studies; cultural studies; gender studies; and every kind of writing. While I am the lucky parent of a magnificent teenager, I enjoy working with learners of all ages-especially dyslexic and neurodivergent students. My tutoring style is respectful, curious, and learner-led. In my spare time, I like reading, knitting, and playing D&D. My bearded dragon, Queen Lizzie, enjoys eating crickets and sunbathing.
