About Keyana

I am a very busy professional with a demanding career. I rely heavily on someone who can help care for and manage my children. Keyana has been with our family for over 5 years. We currently have an 11 year old boy, 9 year old girl, 8 year old boy, and 8 month girl. My kids ADORE her. One time I referred to her as the kids' nanny and my daughter told me "Mommy she's not our nanny, she's our family". My daughter is correct. She has become our family. We've shared several Thanksgivings and international vacations together. We trust her enough that we've left the kids in her care when my husband and I have been out of the country. She always gives the best birthday and Christmas gifts for the kids; not because they are elaborate or expensive, but because she truly knows and understands them and knows what each of them would enjoy and appreciate. She has come to countless sports events and performances on her days off because the kids wanted her to be there and because she wanted to support them. She's also very creative and positive. Two very important qualities to have in caring for children. She fully engages the children and comes up with many creative games and projects to do with them. There is much laughter when my kids are with her. My children are always excited and happy when they know she will be with them. I have lost count of the many parents at my children's school who have asked me where did we find her and if we know of anyone else like her that we could recommend. She's one of a kind. She was kind enough to help out a colleague of mine with his granddaughter a couple of years ago. She was a bit of a demanding toddler at the time but she instantly took to Keyana. My colleague was impressed with her ability to put his granddaughter at ease and to this day he is so appreciative of Keyana and asks about her often. It goes without saying that she's responsible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy. I wanted to highlight the intangible qualities that we all want in someone who cares for our children. Not everyone has those. We've employed many nannies and babysitters since we've had children. They are not all created equal. Keyana is truly in a class onto herself.
