I'm the father of a 13-year-old boy who has autism. My son is essentially non-verbal and he has the usual communication and behavioral challenges that come with autism. During all these years of caring for him, I've learned how much patience and compassion is required to give someone with special needs the care they deserve. I've also come to realize how much happiness a special needs person can bring to a family. I hope to have the opportunity to use my experience to provide great care for someone with special needs.
