Hi! I'm Kestrel! I have a bachelor degree in fine arts and I ran a home childcare business for 20 years. I have decided to shift gears and offer caregiving to adults and seniors. One of my favorite things about caregiving is building relationships with people. I think companionship is a crucial element of caregiving and I really value time spent with others going on outings to parks, libraries, free community events, botanical gardens, etc. Getting out gives our day great variety and is the spice of life! Winter, spring, summer or fall, I love finding activities to do together! Another aspect of caregiving I really enjoy is spending time in creative endeavors. Art expression is so therapeutic and no matter the ability level people can benefit. Whether it's coloring, painting, or crafts I am thrilled to make art with you! And of course I also provide light housekeeping, running errands, transportation to appointments and personal care. I am excited to meet you!

Choosing childcare can be such a stressful decision, but Kestrel helped us feel at ease from the start. It was a big adjustment from being at home with dad to going back to a daycare, but with Kestrel’s patience, understanding, and clear communication, our son was able to adjust quickly to the new routines and was always so excited to go see Kestrel and his friends! She went above and beyond by taking the kids out to do fun educational activities in the community, and this made for fun engaging conversation with him when he would get home! With Kestrel, our son has been genuinely cared for, and since starting with her, we have noticed his social skills, vocabulary, and confidence increase. So grateful for the time that we had with her and for the care she provided for our 2 year old son.
