I volunteered for 8 years as a tutor for math and reading (small group and one-on-one), home-schooled my son from first to third grade. I worked in Special Education for 2 years, tutored a 9-year-old to bring him back up to grade level and was the home school learning coach for 10 and 11-year-old brothers for 1 school year, transitioning them into virtual schooling for the following year. I provide a learning environment where your child feels safe to ask questions, gets the support to really understand the subject matter on a deeper level, therefore enjoys learning, and feels more confident about his or her skills. The method of teaching depends on the age of your child, his or her personal learning style, and your preference. Additionally, I offer German language immersion for young children, ideally ages 2 through 6. I worked as a full time German language immersion nanny for 5 1/2 years and currently provide 3 hour sessions several times per week to an almost 3-year-old child.
