About Kerstin

I have been a volunteer in my children's schools for the last 8 years as a tutor for math and reading (small group and one-on-one), as an art teacher in classrooms from kindergarten to sixth grade, and I assisted with P. E. I home-schooled my son from first to third grade and could offer the same one-on-one opportunity for your child. I have been working in Special Education since 2010. I provide a learning environment where your child feels safe to ask questions, gets the support to really understand the subject matter on a deeper level, therefore enjoys learning, and feels more confident about his or her skills. The method of teaching (studious or a more playful approach) depends on the age of your child, his or her personal learning style, and your preference. I am looking forward to support, facilitate, and strengthen your child's education. To give you a more detailed idea about my availability: I am interested in either a full-time or part-time position and my preferred time to work would be from 9:00 a.m. to about 5:00 p.m. Of course depending on your individual circumstances, I am flexible to adjust the times if possible. I am also open to discuss tutoring over the weekend.
