My background with special needs: I have worked in a special needs day class /elementary school a few years back . I have worked with children on the autism spectrum, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and ADHD. During my time working at school, I also attended special training in ABA followed by a practical training week in a preschool for children on the spectrum . I've been trained in nonviolent crisis intervention in my work with a child with traumatic brain injury . After 2 years working at the elementary school, I moved, alongside the child with traumatic brain injury, in to a home setting/home school setting for one year in collaboration with a team of therapists and district educator. until the family relocated to a different state. I have worked as a home school coach with two brothers, who have life threatening food and certain chemical allergies for about 1 1/2 years . When the family's circumstances changed, I transitioned the boys to virtual schooling.
