I have always had a special place in my heart for people with special needs. It started when I was in elementary school and loved helping walk hand-in-hand with the disabled and special needs children down the halls. Since then, I have had many opportunities to continue serving and assisting those with special needs. In high school, I was able to take a few hours out of my school day to volunteer in the class where they taught and spent time with my classmates that had different challenges than me. Around that same time, I also had the opportunity to volunteer at a therapeutic horseback riding program. Finally, I recently finished a job in Utah where I was able to work as a horseback riding instructor at a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth. I was able to be involved in the lives of kids who had a range of disabilities from Asperger's syndrome to bipolar disorder and so on. I would love to meet and help you and your loved ones.
