About Keona

Hi! I'm an experienced, patient, and dependable childcare provider with a background in early childhood education and youth support. I worked for one year as a teacher at The Goddard School with 2-year-olds, helping with potty training, meals, daily routines, and fun, developmentally appropriate activities focused on language, early math, sensory play, science, and social-emotional skills. I also have hands-on experience caring for my younger brother, who has Down syndrome and autism. I helped care for him from infancy through early childhood, supporting daily routines, communication, and developmental milestones. In addition, I completed a year of student teaching as an ELA teacher in both a special education classroom and a general education high school classroom. Most recently, I worked as a therapeutic mentor, supporting youth with communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and social skills. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Morgan State University.
