About Kenya

Nurturing young minds and supporting their growth is a true passion of mine. Over the past six years, I have gained experience working in school settings, day programs, babysitting roles, and a sub-acute psychiatric residential treatment facility. These experiences reinforced my desire to make a meaningful impact in children's lives. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and have hands-on experience caring for children ages 6-11. I am patient, creative, and approachable, and I enjoy engaging children in outdoor activities, educational games, and age-appropriate video games. I am comfortable caring for up to two children, enforcing household rules, and maintaining consistent routines. My professional background has shown me how essential structure is for promoting emotional regulation and positive behavior. I believe supporting youth requires encouragement, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I am happy to assist with cooking and carpooling. I communicate with parents at pickup.
