Empowering scholars to sidestep the constraints of traditional schooling is the foundation of my practice. With a graduate degree in education and 35 years of experience as a certified English teacher, I approach learning as an active mindset rather than a competitive battle. I prioritize building trust through open communication, which allows me to understand each scholar's unique history and tailor my approach accordingly. I help scholars reframe their challenges by connecting complex concepts to personal interests and celebrating small milestones with tradition, silly-but-meaningful ritual, humor, and practical thinking. So, Scholar, whether are working on English or refining study skills, I will adapt my methods to match your specific needs. I find my greatest reward in revealing a scholar's unrealized potential and watching her/his confidence flourish as she/he masters new abilities.
