Hi! I'm Kendyl, and I have 2+ years of experience supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities. I currently work full-time as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) providing person-centered care that prioritizes dignity, autonomy, and safety. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross (valid through 2028) and have college-level training in American Sign Language (ASL) with professional experience using ASL. My experience includes supporting autistic individuals and those with developmental disabilities using AAC devices, visual schedules, first/then language, sensory accommodations, emotional regulation support, and de-escalation strategies. I also have experience with seizure response, choking prevention, CPAP equipment, and personal care. My caregiving style is calm, patient, creative, and engaging. I love tailoring activities to each child's interests while helping them build confidence, independence, and joy.
