I began caregiving as soon as I legally could at 18. In my hometown of Portland, OR I worked as a caregiver consistently until I left for college, and then proceeded to work there during my breaks. Starting in summer 2020, I began caregiving through Care. com! There is just something really special about working one-on-one with someone and them being able to stay in the comfort of their own home. I have about 3 years of paid caregiving experience, as well as have been trained in dementia care. I am a certified Nurse Technician and am currently in the Gonzaga Nursing Program, which has given me a lot more knowledge on care with the elderly.
