Experience: 10 yrs
Bringing a decade of experience to childcare, I'm driven by a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development, fueled by positive past babysitting experiences and a desire to make a difference in their lives. My approach is patient, creative, and friendly. I hold a college degree and have completed Early Child Development Coursework, CPR Training, and First Aid Training. I am also a Doula. I'm comfortable caring for one child and enforcing household rules. I communicate through written daily reports, regular text updates, or any method you prefer. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. I'm happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I hope to bring my love of the French language into your home by teaching your child French!
We had the pleasure of employing Kelsey for several months to provide full-time care for our baby girl, and the impact she made on our family was truly fantastic. She brought wonderful warmth, high energy, and emotional attentiveness from day one, giving us real peace of mind during a highly transitional and stressful period for our family (two FT working parents with a 9-month-old baby and a 3-year-old toddler)! Her knowledge of Montessori principles and childhood developmental milestones was evident in everything she did. She created a structured, age-appropriate feeding, play, and nap schedule, took our baby on daily walks to the park and organized meetups with other babies in the neighborhood, and was always right by our little one's side (often dancing and playing music!) as baby girl began crawling and exploring her surroundings. Kelsey was patient, engaged, and safety-conscious throughout. While the baby napped, Kelsey would perform helpful household chores like emptying/loading the dishwasher, folding laundry and tidying up the house. At the end of each day, Kelsey would provide a written summary of meals, naps, baths, and any other pertinent information so we could make informed decisions about dinner/bedtime. We also have a toddler in daycare who, as other parents know, bring home every bug imaginable. She was incredibly proactive about disinfecting our home and came armed with a wonderful collection of home remedies that kept our baby healthy for her entire time she was with us — something we're so grateful for. Kelsey was reliable, punctual, and showed up every day genuinely invested in our child's physical and emotional wellbeing. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and dependable nanny.
