Hi, I'm Niko! I'm a nonbinary communication specialist who is looking to pivot back to childcare after teaching special education for a few years. I have been working in daycare settings during summer vacations for years and am looking to expand to childcare year-round! I am fluent in ASL and have 10+ years experience caring for children and adults who have varied support/communication needs. I have worked with several families since 2015, primarily with 1-3 children at a time, ages 5mos-13 years. I also have a wealth of cleaning expertise! I grew up as the oldest of a huge family (9 kids in the house, 10+ cousins coming and going), and thus have a lifetime of comfort caring for young ones. Kids tend to gravitate toward me as I exude a very gentle and playful energy. Some of my favorite activities alongside kids include outdoor learning, arts and crafts, music, sports, and storytelling. Additionally, I am very comfortable driving and have a reliable vehicle with a clean record!
