She was kind and respectful, but I believe she would benefit from additional caregiving training and experience. I often had to repeat instructions, and there were times when important tasks were missed. My biggest concern was that my mom's blood pressure reached a critically high level, and I was not notified. I had to call to find out instead of being contacted immediately. There was also hesitation to assist with her prescribed blood pressure medication, which was very concerning given the seriousness of the situation. I was also disappointed that there was no acknowledgment of these concerns or accountability for what happened. Caregiving requires clear communication, attention to detail, and recognizing when a medical situation needs to be escalated. I appreciate her efforts and wish her the best, but for families caring for someone with significant medical needs, I believe she would be a better fit after gaining more training and experience.
