Previous employment in senior services - activities coordinator at a nursing home, direct care support professional at a day treatment center supporting people with physical and mental health support needs. I currently care for a senior once a week who has a dementia diagnosis and mobility impairment. I like caring for seniors because I was raised with great respect for elders. I'm drawn to a life of service in our community. I'm looking for a job that values communication and a team approach lead by the best interest of the client. I like to garden, sing karaoke, and perform with theater companies! One thing you should know about me is I bring a variety of skills, a positive attitude, and strong references. Kelly has been a total godsend for my family as I live far away from my parents and my mom is progressing with memory loss. Kelly is kind, communicative and is so knowledgeable about all kinds of issues around senior and memory care from experience in her family and career. She has a great attitude and also a keen ability to give suggestions help us prioritize which top safety things to attend to (stair safety, slippy rugs etc). I have so appreciated having her as another set of eyes and loving interaction for my parents. I completely recommend.
