About Kelly

I moved to Richmond at the end of June 2011. I am the mother of two kids, 3. 5 and 1. 5. I have nannied for the last 10 years and before that I worked at a child development center as the lead teacher of a class of 12 1-year-old babies. I have 20 years of babysitting/nannying experience. I got my start by getting certified with the Red Cross as a babysitter and then went from there. I have worked as a nanny/babysitter regularly since then, with one of my jobs actually taking place at a family camp/summer camp setting. I am not the kind of person who just makes sure your child is safe. I believe in actively engaging the children. My favorite thing working with kids is instilling a love of exploration and creativity in their minds which is something that will stick with them forever. Messes and mistakes are nothing to be ashamed of as they are things to be learned from.
