I'd describe my personality as calm, empathetic, personable. I like working with kids because I was an educator for 11 years and then cared for my grandchildren for the next 6 years. I love their hearts for fun and adventure and wonderment. Experiencing their joy of new ideas and learning is a blessing. I'm looking for a job that is something where I can use my gifts to serve, teach, nurture and love. I started working with kids when I was 15 or 16. I went to a babysitting class and went from there. I then went into elementary education and later on special education. In my spare time, I like to fish, hike and cook. I also love watching college and NFL football. One thing you should know about me is I'm dependable to a fault. I just moved back home to Arkansas after 25 years of being away. My skills include patience, creativity and a strong understanding of child development. I'm able to be flexible but also like to have a structure and order to things.

Kelly has cared off and on for our three kids from infancy to school age, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly. She’s warm, attentive, and truly engaged—playing with the kids, doing arts and crafts, exploring outside, and even cooking (her “KK’s special chicken” is a household favorite for my picky eaters!). We love and miss her, and anyone would be lucky to have her as a caregiver.
