About Kelly

Four of my 10 years of animal care experience were as a zookeeper at the Central Florida Zoo. I provided husbandry, behavioral conditioning, diet preparation, basic grooming, and medicine administration for a variety of animals. These included invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds of various sizes and species. Prior to the zoo, I served as an animal caretaker in various institutions such as dog kennels, wildlife rehabilitation centers, veterinary clinics. My very first animal care job was at an Animal Science secondary education center for high school students. I love working with animals because it is incredibly fulfilling. Seeing an animal thrive and benefit from the care I directly provide... there's nothing like it. I started working with animals when I was 16 years old in my Animal Science class in high school. I was entrusted with the task of caring for the variety of animals over the summer for two years. My animal career took off from there.
