About Kelly

For the past 13 years, I've been helping elementary students unlock their potential. I am a certified teacher with experience in Special Education and Individualized Education Programs (IEP). I strive to create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment. I adapt my teaching by observing initial interactions with new material and varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I also provide regular parental check-ins and seek feedback. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples. Communication builds trust and a collaborative environment among the student, parents, and me. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable with pets, so I can travel to your home, a library, or a coffee shop to help with math, English, or special education. I look forward to helping your child succeed!
