About Kelly

My experience tutoring is informal. I volunteered to tutor a younger peer in math once a week for 6 months in high school, as well as sometimes helping my bus driver's kids with their homework. I had two younger siblings whom I often would assist with their homework as well. In addition I regularly helped explain concepts to my peers while I was going through college. I still often edit family members' essays, cover letters, and resumes. I have formal paid experience teaching outdoor skills and Leave No Trace principles as a trip leader. I taught tool use, conservation principles, and ergonomics as a Assistant Crew Leader. I love watching people gain new skills, and I'd like to apply my teaching skills in a more academic setting. I feel confident in my ability to make learning fun due to these prior experiences.
