About Kelly

Others describe my personality as calm, patient, and persistent. All students are unique and have something to important to share. When I have the opportunity to encourage students to overcome their academic challenges and celebrate their success, it gives me a feeling of purpose. I first started tutoring in 2015 when I graduated with my bachelor's degree in English. I have experience tutoring the reading and writing portions of the ACT, SAT, and English subject tests. In addition, I have helped over four-hundred high school students brainstorm, draft and write their college admissions essays. I am a classroom tutor/para-educator for elementary age students in reading, writing, and math grades 1-3. I'm currently enrolled in a masters degree program at SCU to obtain a Masters in Teaching w/a multiple subject teaching credential. In my spare time, I like to volunteer to exercise shelter dogs at the SPCA by taking them on 3-mile jogs and hikes.
