I like tutoring because I have experienced how education is a powerful tool for confidence, and I enjoy being the person who helps a student realize they are much more capable than they thought. Plus, having spent years studying math, I genuinely enjoy the 'puzzle' of breaking down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps. I started tutoring when I was in high school. Volunteering at a local elementary school to tutor with my best friend was one of the bonding experiences I will never forget. In my spare time, I like to read, listen to podcasts, sit at the beach, and dance! My skills include: Adaptable: I can pivot my teaching style to match how the student learns best. Patient: I understand that learning can be frustrating. I create a "no-judgment zone" where students feel safe asking questions until they truly feel comfortable with the material. Encouraging: I focus on small wins to build momentum. I believe that a positive attitude is just as important as the lesson.
