I've been a Nurse for 40 yrs/with last 10 years providing Palliative/Hospice Care. I am also a Certified End of Life Doula. After being in mainstream medical for 3 decades, I became independent 10 yrs. ago. It allows me to provide better care for my patients. My patients include: women/men and even a couple. Both short/long term patient (from 4 days to 4 yrs) Though my primary experience is end of life, I have extensive experience in ADLs, showering, dressing, transferring to bed/chair, medication ordering/administration, appointment scheduling/transporting for medical/social events. I provide light housekeeping/meal preparation, entertainment with playing games, gardening, etc., run errands, shopping, etc I am also a Florist & Public Notary. My hobbies include crocheting & gardening with my 4 granddaughters. I have a clean driving record, am a non-smoker and can provide references/letters of recommendation. Kelly is an amazing caregiver and person. She cared for my Mother for 3 years. She went above and beyond her ADLs, shopping, cleaning, taking her on outings, and managing all her medical needs. She was keenly aware of even the slightest change in my Mother's condition and initiated ER visits or medical appointments. I am an RN Case Manager so it wasn't easy to let go. But since I live 1 1/2 hours away from my mother, it was a very big blessing to be able to trust her with every detail of my mother's care, which freed me up to just be daughter. In no time Kelly became like family to us. My mother referred to her as her adopted daughter. My mother passed away in her own bed in her home as she would've wished, surrounded by her daughters and Kelly. She would've had it any other way.
