Making a difference in someone's life is what truly motivates me. Since my empty nesting started 6+ years ago, I've had the privilege of providing compassionate care to adults and seniors, with lots of smiles and laughter when appropriate. My approach is rooted in patience, compassion, and creating a comfortable environment for those I care for. I'm very skilled with giving companionship, listening to loved ones stories, personal care, managing medication, transportation assistance to any errand running and any appointments needed. I'm also experienced in dementia and Alzheimer's care, including de-escalating stressful situations and incorporating distractions with memory care activities (games puzzles) or just re-routing thoughts. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I prioritize communication with families with regular updates as needed. I'm also very comfortable with pets. My husband and I have 2 Great Danes!
