With over 10 years of teaching experience, I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. I hold a college degree in Social Work, and I'm fluent in both English and speak some Spanish. I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles by listening to and observing my students' interactions with new material, and I use visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems to build student confidence. I keep students motivated by celebrating small successes and breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. Communication is essential, and I prioritize building trust and a collaborative environment with students and parents. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am familiar with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504).
